Strawberry Shortcake Smoothie
Summer is here in Florida and if you live up North, it’s coming your way. So, I think it’s a good time to get a few fresh smoothie recipes going for these warm months to come. This is a great breakfast smoothie or a great snack. This is a perfect smoothie for kids especially when they don’t sit well in the morning for a good sit down breakfast. This has protein, fruit and oatmeal, and oh ya… it tastes great! Try this one out and let me know what you think.
Blend together:
1/2 cup Vanilla Greek Yogurt (I use this one)
1/4 cup Milk (your choice of milk… almond, coconut, hemp or raw)
1/4 cup Gluten Free Rolled Oats (I Bob’s Redmill)
3/4 cup Frozen Organic Strawberries
1 Tbsp Honey
1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
Blend until smooth.
Remember that this is just a base recipe. Feel free to throw in Vital Whey or seeds like hemp or chia to boost the nutrition value.
It’s so good even the critters are spying it!
